Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,

 

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I welcome you to Horan/P79M and our new off site, 79M@293 for the upcoming academic year. As the principal of this school, I am committed to fostering an environment that promotes equity for all, embraces inclusive education practices, nurtures collaboration among students, staff, and families, and takes meaningful steps towards organizational transformation.

 

At our school, we believe in providing equal opportunities for every single student who walks through our doors. We firmly believe in the hallmarks of equity – fairness and justice – which form the foundation of our educational philosophy. Additionally, I would like to emphasize our dedication towards supporting organizational transformation within our school community. We are continuously striving towards improvement by adopting best practices backed by research-based evidence while also leveraging innovative approaches tailored specifically towards meeting the unique needs of all learners. We aim to equip our students with the necessary skills and resources for successful transition placements, supportive housing, job placement, and rehabilitation services.

 

Moreover, we understand the complexities that special needs high school students face as they navigate their educational journey. As a result, we have established a robust system of support to cater to their specific needs. Our team of dedicated professionals will work tirelessly with these students and their families to ensure that they receive individualized attention and guidance to achieve success in both academics and life beyond school.

 

I would like to express my utmost excitement for what lies ahead in this new school year.
